Previously, I was on staff as the Senior Therapist with UT Health housed at Memorial Hermann with Psychiatry Consulting Team there; where I helped develop a new innovative program providing psychotherapy at Level 1 Medical Trauma Hospital (Memorial Hermann Hospital) for patients needing both mental health and medical trauma services. I also collaborated with outpatient UT Health Psychiatry Department to build an Anxiety Clinic at BBSB location, where I developed and wrote the 8-week psychoeducation curriculum treating a whole-person through anxiety lens. My previous role at UT Health was Senior Social Worker at the Brain and Behavioral Health Clinic housed under the Neurology Department, providing mainly sleep treatment and anxiety/adjustment treatments. I’ve worked in healthcare for about 20 years and have worn several different hats. I’ve been a healthcare hospital Social Work Program Developer for several years, building 5 programs. I have worked in a variety of settings such as acute inpatient hospitals, after-hours crisis evaluations, outpatient clinics and private practice.
